Pick Your Classes Competition

Course catalogues can take a long time to read. In order to pick your classes in the most productive way, you must be able to flip through the course catalogue quickly and constructively. To avoid paper cuts, and licking your fingers until your tongue is dry, create a robot that can flip the pages for you.

In this event, you must design a robot that can flip the pages of a book. The pages must be flipped one at a time. The robot that flips the most pages in 30 seconds wins first prize. You may use any book of your choice.

Judging Procedure:

1) Robot is placed wherever the team chooses to place it.
2) Book is placed directly next to robot.
3) Vehicle is turned on.
4) Proper program is selected.
5) On the judge's mark, "run" is pushed on the RCX.
6) Robot begins flipping the pages of the book.
7) Judges watch closely to see how many pages are flipped at a time.
8) Repeat process for trials 2 and 3.
9) Record results on rubric.
