TechBoston Student-Consultants Complete April School Vacation Training:
TCG Student-consultants demonstrated their commitment to learning and their clients, by spending their April school vacation days participating in advanced, technical training and work sessions. They battled through snow-storms in December to attend TCG training, returned during February’s school vacation week, and then sacrificed their hot and balmy April vacation days to advance their careers.
Thirty high school students from across the city attended the two-day intensive workshop and further developed their web design and system administration skills. Students learned the creative process of website design, software development tools/methodologies and professional development skills. Ronnie Millar, TCG’s program director was delighted with the attendance and students’ engagement. He said “these students are wonderful. They are respectful, interested in learning and we are very privileged to have them on the TCG team.”
These sessions compliment TechBoston’s after-school programs, and were taught by TechBoston staff, alumni and industry professionals who also help supervise TCG client projects.
